As an independent charity, The Players Foundation offers support and advice to current and former professional footballers who find themselves in need.
The Foundation offers welfare rights advice, benefits assessments, and debt management support, while grants are also available to beneficiaries who are experiencing severe hardship and meet the required criteria.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees – led by our Chairman, Brendon Batson OBE, is made up of former professional footballers with a wealth of experience throughout the game.
Since January 2024, the Foundation has distributed a total of £400,000 as part of our Game Changing Support programme, including Family Support, Winter Fuel, Cost of Living and Educational Resources.
