A massive thanks

I received an email from the Players Foundation informing me of a grant I might be eligible for. After having a quick look, It was nice to see I was. The process was incredibly simple and took 15 minutes, but the impact of a grant has been huge. As a family, we have struggled financially over the last couple of years and although we have tried many things to make things 'easier', it's continued to be tough. This grant has allowed us to collectively 'take a breath', and afford some essentials such as nursery fees, household bills etc...

A massive thanks to the Players Fund and those who work to ensure this is available to ex-players.

Can't speak highly enough

I first heard about The Players Foundation from my CEO Mark Lovell at Argyle Community Trust. He had received an email from The Players Foundation regarding a potential Family Support Fund on offer for ex professional football players.

I completed the online application and was delighted to receive a family support grant which has helped my family financially in a significant way. With the current cost of living, the support received has been greatly appreciated.

I would certainly recommend the The Players Foundation and can’t speak highly enough of the support they are trying to provide for their beneficiaries”.

Caring professionals that were so helpful

It's over 61 years since this photo was taken and maybe not as agile today. Been waiting for 5 years for operation on my left hip ( not a simple hip replacement ) so wrote to the Players Foundation for assistance.and help.

Someone to talk was maybe all I was looking for so it was great to find a team of caring professionals that were so helpful, They agreed to organise a reclining chair for me and I obtained 3 quotes for a handmade made to measure chair to my spec to include a Gel base for pressure points ect. At the same time I had help on claiming Attendance Allowance as I'm in need of help night and day.. Was awarded the highest rate of the allowance which helps.. So still no operation yet but can watch footie on the box in comfort!!!!!

We can't thank The Players Foundation enough

The support we received from The Players Foundation in providing Tony with a powerchair, has given us the freedom to take Tony on days out and allowed us to bring him home for Christmas lunch, which was the first time in 2 years, it was extremely emotional, but wonderful.

This has made a massive difference to us all, and we can’t thank The Players Foundation enough.
